Dr. Dawn Powell-Londono, LA.c, O.M.D
Dawn Powell-Londono earned her Masters of Chinese Medicine from the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine in Asheville, NC in 2005. Since then, she worked for Lutheran Hospital (now Intermountain Hospital) in Wheat Ridge, Colorado for 17 years in many different capacities as an acupuncturist. She helped inpatients recover from surgery and chronic illness. She started the ear acupuncture group program in the hospital's inpatient addiction recovery unit. She worked closely with the oncology department and obtained a grant for oncology patients to be able to utilize acupuncture to help their pain, recover from side effects of medication and reduce stress and anxiety. She also worked at the Lutheran Spine Center for 3 years helping patients with chronic spinal issues.
She earned her Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in 2022. She is working on a certification in Orthopedic Acupuncture with Anthony Von der Muhll, L.Ac., DAOM, DNBAO. She also continues to study under Dr. Jeremy Steiner using electrostimulation acupuncture to help with all health conditions. Dawn concentrates
on how to integrate Chinese Medicine with the concept of Orthopedic Acupuncture and Electrostimulation Acupuncture.
She is an expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, and electrostimulation. Known for personalized patient care, specializing in pain management, orthopedics, dry needling, oncology support, and stress reduction. She is committed to ongoing learning and integration of cutting-edge practices for holistic wellness. She is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve optimal health and vitality. She also helps patients dealing with neurodiversity and ADHD challenges with acupuncture.
She spends her free time kiteboarding, learning to surf and spending time with her husband and her dog. “Ask me about my dog if you want to lose a few hours of your day.
